We met in German class at West Chester University when Simeon was convinced to minor in the language, I was majoring in German and Russian. For a whole semester, we were just classmates.
We never had a proper first date, our schedules lined up and we started hanging out between classes. However Simeon decided to ask what we were, I asked for clarification before confirming that we were feeling the same attraction.
Once we agreed, we were together constantly, when everything shut down we were in each others bubble and have barely been apart since.
I planned a camping trip to Caledonia State Park in Pennsylvania for our three year anniversary. We were on a hike when Simeon suggested we stop for a rest and to appreciate the nature around us.
After a moment I was ready to continue but he suggested we wait another moment before getting on down on one knee and proposing.
I expected it that weekend but the moment surprised me.
After buying a house together, we reached the one year count down to our wedding and felt like that was too far away. In September of 2024 we eloped!
